Historical Thinking Skills
Close Reading Students are asked to evaluate and analyze sources by the following methods: Sourcing Students are asked to consider who wrote the document as well as the circumstances and purpose of its creation. Contextualization Students are asked to locate a document in time and place and understand how these factors shape its content. Corroboration Students are asked to consider details across multiple sources to determine points of agreement and disagreement. |
